Tabitha Bailey is a serial entrepreneur who has a passion for creating businesses and helping people. Her start in online learning came when she started Together We Pass, a social learning service for UNISA students, in 2008. Servicing students from a variety of distance learning Universities and Colleges around South Africa we help more than 6,000 students a year.
In 2013, she founded Daptio a platform that enables the creation of online courses that adapt to the specific needs of every individual learner. Daptio won the 2014 Telkom Innovation Mega Challenge for this technology.
Founded in 2013 and based in Cape Town, Daptio uses artificial intelligence to help students, mentors and teachers to understand the proficiency level of each student as well as match the relevant content. Daptio has won top honours at the Telkom Innovation Mega Challenge, and has also been named one of the top 10 most innovative companies in Africa by Fast Company.
