Dr. Michaela Meier, MA, PhD, was educated at the Universities of Passau, Otto-von-Guericke of Magdeburg and at the Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology and Neuroscience. She founded the Institute of Limbic Learning in Germany and was a Pioneer in the interdisciplinary field of Neuroscience and Education.
In 2005 she built the first Preschool based on Neuropedagogy (KINDERKOSMOS) in Ecuador for 400 students and 40 teachers. Dr. Meier then wrote the first « Studybook » about Neuroscience for Educators, which was financed by Robert Bosch foundation. In 2009, Michaela Meier developed the first interactive video-based textbook in Maths, English and German for students in Germany from 3rd to 9th Grade. This award-winning project resulted in the adoption of video textbooks in more than 40% of all schools in Germany.
Dr. Meier also created a startup called « C-College ». C-Colleges are « Learning Studios » similar to fitness studios with individual learning paths, modern interactive learning technology and the best learning architecture, developed with VITRA and brain-based Architecture. The startup was successfully rolled-out and acquired by the market leader for learning studios in Germany.
