Brian J. Baptista

LEGO Education

Brian J. Baptista is Executive Director, Global Public Affairs at LEGO Education. Through effective, innovative and challenging methods, he has been globalizing creativity in the classroom to enable true 21th Century skills. Currently, actively working with more than 50 countries worldwide, Brian is passionate about changing the educational landscape by decreasing the learning barriers for the perceived hard subjects of technology, engineering, science, and mathematics. Through efficient LEGO Education methods, he has mastered flipping the subjects into becoming more effective, attractive, and truly joyous. By putting fun first, Brian has set creativity on the agenda at highest level. Targeted Ministry level events have shown what occurs in the mindset of students when they learn through hands-on learning tools. “We need Ministries around the world to understand that they are instrumental to producing a knowledge based society in their country. Our focus is on enabling every student to succeed. We must understand that we genuinely cannot afford to lose any student in the school system. Every student is a potential creator of solutions to the many severe societal challenges of today”, says Brian Baptista.

Brian holds an M.Sc. in Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and has 20 years of leadership experience within education, consultancy, IT and healthcare. Brian was born in Nairobi, Kenya, to Indian parents, and lives in Denmark with his wife and two children. His heart beats for emerging markets, and successfully uses his diverse background and deep cultural understanding to optimize his work.

For over 30 years, LEGO® Education has been working with teachers and educational specialists to provide solutions and resources that are used in the classroom to bring subjects to life and make learning fun.

While exam scores may continue to dominate education agendas, research shows that greater benefits can be leveraged by focusing on applying knowledge as a means to expand learning rather than acquiring knowledge in order to pass examinations.
With educational sets, activity packs, teacher resources and programming tools we can make learning inspiring and meet your curriculum needs in Science, Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Math and the Humanities.

LEGO Education is based in Billund, Denmark. As part of the LEGO® Group, we have offices across the globe and more than 180 employees who share the Group vision to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow.

Ultimately, LEGO Education strives to encourage students to think creatively, reason systematically and release their potential to shape their own future.
