Bangxin Zhang is a founder and the chairman of U.S-listed education services firm TAL Education, a leading K-12 tutoring services provider in China. Bangxin received his bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences from Sichuan University in 2001 and received an EMBA degree from China Europe International Business School in 2009. From 2002 to 2007, he was a PhD student in the postgraduate program of the Life Science School at Peking University. He started to tutor students as a source of income during his studies. When he realized how successful this could be, he dropped out to fully focus on what was to become Tal Education. He is now one of the top 10 youngest Chinese billionaires.
